Like all our Kyrgies, these oh-so-soft house shoes form part of a centuries-old history of craftsmanship. In this case, these slippers stem from techniques traditionally used for weaving heavy woolen rugs and are handmade by a women’s cooperative located in the remote Alay Valley of southern Kyrgyzstan. Sustainable, soft and snug on your feet, our Kyrgies Wovens are a slice of traditional Kyrgyz life, brought from the dusty plains of Central Asia directly to your door.
Softer than our other slippers thanks to the flexibility of their woven woolen fabric, they’re the perfect choice if you have delicate feet that suffer from bunions or other ailments, or have wider feet and want a more accommodating fit.
